Privacy Policy

The short version

• We don’t run any servers. We have no account system of our own, and we don’t keep a copy of your data.
• Your game progress is stored on your phone and, when you’re signed in, in your Google Play Games account.
• Payments are handled by Google Play. We never see your card details.
• Ads come from Appodeal and Google. Their tools may collect your advertising ID and information about your device. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before personalised ads are shown.
• You can delete your account and data at any time. See Deleting your account and data.

1. Who is responsible for your data

FluffyFox is responsible for how the game and the website use your information.

Some of the companies whose services the game uses (Google, Appodeal and Appodeal’s advertising partners) collect information directly. They are responsible for that information under their own privacy policies, which are linked below.

2. What information the game handles

2.1 Google Play Games: sign-in, cloud save, leaderboard and achievements

On Android, the game signs you in to Google Play Games automatically when you have a Play Games profile. Through Play Games, the game uses:

• Your Play Games player ID and display name. These link your progress, leaderboard entry and achievements to you. Your display name is shown in the game.
• Your cloud save. This contains your coins, best score, unlocked rockets and selected rocket. It is stored in the Saved Games area of your Google Play Games account, so you can keep your progress on a new phone. The save contains a signature that lets the game detect tampering.
• The leaderboard. Your best score is sent to the Rocket Drift leaderboard on Google Play Games. Other players can see it according to your Play Games profile visibility settings.
• Achievements. Achievements unlock as you collect rockets, and are stored in your Play Games profile.

Google handles this information under the Google Privacy Policy. If you are not signed in, your progress stays only on your device.

2.2 Information stored on your device

The game keeps these in its private storage on your phone:

• your coins, best score, and unlocked and selected rockets;
• your language;
• whether you have seen the tutorial;
• your daily reward and daily task progress;
• a count of games played since the last ad.

We don’t receive this information. It is deleted when you uninstall the game, clear its data, or use Delete account & data in the game’s Settings.

2.3 In-app purchases

Coin packs are sold through Google Play Billing. Google Play handles the payment and tells the game which pack you bought, so the coins can be added. We never receive your payment card details.

Google provides us with order details in the Google Play Console, such as the order number, product, price, date and country. We use them for accounting, refunds and support. Google keeps its own purchase records under the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Play terms.

2.4 Advertising

The game is free and funded by ads: banner ads, full-screen ads, and optional rewarded ads (for example, to continue a run or to double a daily reward). The ads are provided through:

• Appodeal, and the advertising networks Appodeal works with (Appodeal Privacy Policy);
• Google Mobile Ads, whose software is included in the game and also shows the consent form described below (How Google uses information from apps that use its services).

These providers’ software can automatically collect:

• your device’s advertising ID;
• your IP address, and an approximate location worked out from it (country or city, never precise GPS location);
• device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, language, mobile carrier or network type, and app version;
• how you interact with ads, such as views, clicks and rewards earned.

They use this information to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance, detect fraud, and, if you have agreed where consent is required, show ads based on your interests.

These providers act independently and use the information under their own privacy policies. We don’t receive information from them that identifies you.

2.5 Your ad choices

• Consent form: if you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the game shows Google’s consent form. It asks whether you agree to personalised ads and related data use. If you don’t agree, you may still see non-personalised ads. Those can still use some data, for example to limit how often an ad repeats and to prevent fraud.
• Changing your choice: clear the game’s data in Android settings (Settings → Apps → Rocket Drift → Storage → Clear data). The consent form then appears again the next time you open the game. Clearing data also removes progress stored only on your phone. If you are signed in to Play Games, your cloud save brings it back.
• Advertising ID: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings at any time. The exact menu depends on your device; it is usually under Privacy → Ads or Google → Ads.

2.6 Notifications

The game asks for permission to send notifications. If you allow it, it schedules a daily reminder about daily tasks at 10:00 on your device. The reminder is created on your phone. No information is sent to us or to a notification service. You can turn notifications off in Android settings at any time.

2.7 What we don’t collect

• We don’t use analytics or crash-reporting tools.
• We don’t access your precise location, contacts, photos, files, microphone or camera.
• We don’t run servers that store information about you.
• We don’t sell your personal information.

3. The website

• No tracking: this website uses no cookies, no analytics and no trackers, and loads no content from third parties.
• Hosting: the site is hosted by Vercel. Vercel processes technical information, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, in server logs so it can deliver the site and protect it from abuse (Vercel Privacy Policy).
• Emails: if you email us, we use your email address and message only to answer you. We delete the conversation once your request is handled. The one exception is a short record that a deletion request was completed, which we keep only as long as we need it to show we completed it.

6. Deleting your account and data

Your account in the game is your Google Play Games profile linked to Rocket Drift. You can delete your data in any of these ways.

In the game

1. Open Rocket Drift and go to Settings.
2. Tap Delete account & data, then tap OK to confirm.

This deletes your cloud save (coins, best score and rockets) from Google Play Games, and everything Rocket Drift stored on your phone, including your language, tutorial and daily task progress. It can’t be undone. The game then restarts from the beginning.

• The option appears while you are signed in to Google Play Games. If you aren’t signed in, nothing is stored in the cloud; use the On your phone option below.
• Your phone needs an internet connection. If Google Play Games can’t be reached, nothing is deleted and the game asks you to try again.
• You stay signed in to Google Play Games afterwards, so if you keep playing, the game starts a new, empty save.
• Your leaderboard score and achievements are stored by Google Play Games and can’t be removed from inside the game. To delete them too, use the Google Play Games option below.

In Google Play Games

In the Google Play Games app, open your profile settings. Choose the option to delete your Play Games data, and delete the data for Rocket Drift. This removes your Rocket Drift cloud save, achievements and leaderboard score.

You can also delete your entire Play Games profile there. That affects all your games, not just Rocket Drift.

On your phone

Uninstall Rocket Drift, or clear its data in Settings → Apps → Rocket Drift → Storage → Clear data. This removes all game data stored on your phone.

What is not deleted

• Purchase records are kept by Google Play for legal and tax reasons.
• Advertising data already collected by Appodeal, Google and their partners is handled under their own policies and deleted when they process a request.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• access the personal information held about you, and get a copy of it;
• correct it;
• delete it;
• restrict or object to how it is used, including ads based on legitimate interests;
• move it to another service (portability);
• withdraw consent at any time, without affecting use that happened before you withdrew.

To use these rights, email fluffyfox.dev@gmail.com. We reply within one month. Most information about you is held by Google and Appodeal, so we may point you to their tools as well and help you use them.

You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country.

8. Where information is processed

Google, Appodeal, their advertising partners and Vercel may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. They use their own legal safeguards for these transfers, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Children

Rocket Drift is not directed at children under 13, or under the minimum age for consent where you live. We don’t knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used the game and data about them was collected, contact us and we will help delete it.

10. Security

We don’t store your information on our own servers. Game data stays in the game’s private storage on your phone and in Google Play Games. Google, Appodeal and Vercel send data over encrypted connections. No method of storing or sending data is completely secure, but we pick providers that take security seriously.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top. If a change is significant, we will also add a notice to this page.
